Another Non-Jewelry Post

Yep, this blog is a result of my jewelry business.  And nope, this post is not about jewelry…again!    This will be mostly pictures and very little writing.

My husband and I went into to Washington, D.C. this Saturday morning for sunrise over the Tidal Basin which is surrounded by blossoming cherry trees. It is almost impossible to take a bad picture and even at 6:30 AM the sidewalks were crowded.  Beauty is every where!  I did some serious whittling from the 95 photos I took.

Without further ado…

A few of the monuments…

These next pictures are different perspectives of the Basin.  The crowds will be pretty evident!

These last ones are “because I could”.  They either amused me or I just liked them!

Even mundane signs get dressed up with blossoms! :)

Thank you for bearing with me.  I just wish I could capture how overwhelming the whole Tidal Basin is, rather than just bits and pieces.

Is there anything you do once a year just because you can’t resist?
